Known for their beauty, fragrance and elegance, orchids are one of the most popular flowers of choice for weddings. Wedding orchids not only add visual interest to the day but they add elegance and a statement about the couple depending on the kind of flowers that are chosen for the day.

Not only are orchids known for their beauty, fragrance and elegance, but they also symbolize love and refinement. Wedding orchids are popular among brides not only because they make excellent bouquets, but they also great to use for many different types of arrangements.

In addition to being used for bouquets, orchids make excellent table arrangements. They can be used to hang from pews, or you can simply scatter them throughout the venue giving off a more casual appearance.

Dendrobium. Called the “Singapore orchid”, this wedding orchid comes in white and purple. These flowers look great incorporated in table arrangements. They are also perfect in plain cylindrical vases as altar arrangements or reception decorations.

Cymbidium. One of the popular orchids. It grows in white, pink, yellow and green. This plant is very resistant to wilting, very important if you are concerned about the flowers drying out on a hot summer day.
