Lush Shrubbery Design: Valuable Hints by Misha Vasser
Steps to Building a Wreath
A simple but beautiful way to decorate your porch is to add a wreath to your door. They can be made in a variety of ways, shapes and styles. You just need a foam ring and some silk flowers to get started. Using some heavy-duty scissors, cut the stems of your flowers, leaving about an inch of stem below the flower. Then push the stems of each flower into the ring. As you are positioning the flowers, make sure that the foam is thoroughly covered; however, you do not want your flowers to look too crowded! Your wreath will last a very long time if you use a hot glue gun to add small amounts of glue where the base of the flower touches the ring. Adding leaves or vines to your wreath works well for extra decoration or for covering up bare spots. You can choose to create wreaths using one kind of flower in many colors, or one color using many flowersâ”or a combination. To finish, tie a string around your wreath and hang it on a small nail in your front door.
Wedding Flower Dcor
Weddings are one of the most beautiful and exciting events in anyoneâs lifetime. On this glorious day, flowers make everything look that much more beautiful. Flowers are often used to designate the bride and groomâs family and cherished friends. The bridesmaids and women of the family have corsages; the best man, father of the bride, and groom usually have boutonnieres; most important of all is the brideâs bouquet. There are flowers decorating the wedding site and the reception area. If you are a beginning florist or are trying to save money by doing this yourself, the task may seem a bit dauntingâ”and like any daunting task, it is best tackled in phases. The most important decisions for wedding flower design are: first, the color; second, the flower types, and third, the arrangement styles. The color is usually a very simple decision as the bride will already be choosing the color or colors for the wedding. Roses are the most used type of flower at weddings, but talk to the bride about her ideas: she may want something very traditional or something more exotic. Though the styles for arranging are incredibly numerous, if you stick to two or three designs, no matter how traditional or unique they are, the overall look of the wedding will be enhanced with a degree of continuity. With a little planning and practice, anyone can do a great job with wedding flowers!
How to Take Care of Silk Plants
There are some important steps you should take to make sure your artificial plants last a long time. The majority of artificial plants, regardless of the material they are made will, will fade if constantly exposed to the sun. You do not have to completely avoid sunlight, but make sure the location of plants gets shifted periodically. Another way to prevent your plants from fading is to keep them from getting dusty. Since many plants and flowers are pretty delicate, make sure to keep them away from the grasp of youngsters. If you do have an accident, see the manufacturer about repairs. Most repairs can be made with a hot glue gun. If the damage is more substantial, wrap, tighten, and seal repairs with wire.
Decorating with Artificial Roses
In weddings, using silk or artificial flowers is a popular way to decorate for the occasion. Roses by far are the prominent silk flower selection for weddings. Similarly, there is a growing trend for silk roses in homes today. Not only do silk roses last an extremely long time, but the similarity in appearance to real roses is almost perfect; both of these factors have led to the upswing in usage. If the roses are not well cared for, they will last a few years; if they are, they will stay beautiful for decades. There are many ways to decorate your house with rosesâ”they can be added to a garland draped over a mantelpiece, or they can adorn a vase on a side table. When roses are placed in a flower arrangement, be sure to angle them so that they can be seen from any point in the room. You can go the extra mile by lightly spraying your displayed roses with a hint of perfume.
silk flowers, plants, wreaths, and trees add a beautiful, natural-looking touch to any home or workplace. Visit SilkGardenOnline.com to meet all your needs for silk flower arrangements, including silk roses, tulips, orchids, and more!
