You probably want something with wider leaves to attract the eye and the attention of the visitor. On the other hand, decorating for a corner will require more vertical movement and longer leaves to make it âpopâ more for the viewer. The more you plan ahead and experiment with different options, the happier you will be with the final result. If you want a fresh look without the hassle and maintenance of real plants, choose a high-quality silk plant. They last much longer, they arenât appealing to insects, and they are easy to take care of.
Decorating with Artificial Roses
It is a growing trend in weddings to see more and more silk flowers among the decorations. The type of flower used the most to adorn weddings is the rose. Similarly, there is a growing trend for silk roses in homes today. Not only do silk roses last an extremely long time, but the similarity in appearance to real roses is almost perfect; both of these factors have led to the upswing in usage. The durability of the roses depends on how well they are maintained; they will last a couple years if they are not kept up, and decades if they are preserved well. Besides adding roses to a flower arrangement in a pot or urn, they can be used to decorate anything from coffee tables to curtains. Remember that roses are best seen directly, so if your roses form your centerpiece, have some flowers pointing in different directions so that some can be seen from anywhere in the whole room. Adding a scent to your roses also gives your home a nice touch.
