One that contrasts sharply with the pine tree image is the palm tree. These two tree types are extremely different, not only in local environment but also in appearance. There are hundreds and hundreds of different styles of palm trees; the same goes with silk palm trees. Of course, the most popular variety is the stereotypical palm tree (some even come with coconuts!). Make sure you are aware of how wide the tree is before you settle on a certain tree. It wouldnât do to have your palm tree arrive and not have enough room for it! For beginners, I would recommend getting a small palm tree to spruce up the bedroom, office, or even the kitchen area.
Topiary Plants
The definition of a topiary is a plant that is trimmed in a fashion not ordinarily appearing to be a plant. Most often the plants used for topiary purposes are extremely dense. These topiaries come in every shape and sizes ranging from elephants, squirrels and people to elaborate designs, mazes, and even tunnels. Many people who love topiaries but do not have a place to display a 20-foot shrub choose to decorate their houses with much smaller silk topiaries. Silk topiaries are most often found in offices or churches. A very popular look for silk topiaries includes a spiral shape, because it can be very small but decorative.
