How to Fertilize your Plants
An interesting but little known fact regarding plants is that those in the ground need much less fertilization than potted plants. There are two reasons for this: first, potted plants are in their young growing stages and need more nutrients. Potted plants also are dealing with a more limited, less renewed and rejuvenated soil Fertilization doesn’t need to be a very complicated process; in fact, there are many options available to you. You can find exactly what you need packaged and ready to go at your local gardening store (many home improvement stores and some super centers also have a gardening section). Please follow the directions, as each fertilizer can be different. One type of fertilizer you may want to consider is a type that dissolves in water before you add that water to your plant. This is a great solution because it allows you to take care of two steps in one in regards to caring for your plant.
Storing your Silk Wreaths
A simple but festive way to prepare your home for holidays and special occasions is to hang a wreath on your door. There are so many wreath options and so many different seasons that any creative crafter can easily feel overrun with them. There are several efficient, organized ways to keep your wreaths stored until you need them. You can cut down on your storage needs by ârecyclingâ your wreaths. Reusing wreaths simply means placing different flower commendations on the same wreath with the changing season. You can keep several varieties and colors of flowers in one box instead of having 12 or 14 different boxes of wreaths in your garage. On the other hand, if you enjoy having several different wreaths, we recommend getting either plastic containers (there are even some built specifically for wreaths) or a simple shelving system so that none of the wreaths get crushed or damaged.

Similarly, there is a growing trend for silk roses in homes today. The prime reason for this movement is the resemblance to the actual flower and the durability of the silk. If the roses are not well cared for, they will last a few years; if they are, they will stay beautiful for decades. Roses can be displayed in a variety of ways, from a garland wrapped around curtains to a silk rose arrangement for the dining room table. When roses are placed in a flower arrangement, be sure to angle them so that they can be seen from any point in the room. You can go the extra mile by lightly spraying your displayed roses with a hint of perfume.
