Growing Caring Orchids

I’m not sure how to take care of my orchid plant?
I bought an orchid plant from a store a couple of months ago. The directions that came with it said to keep it out of direct sunlight and water when it starts to feel dry. So that’s what i did and it was great until a couple of weeks later when the flowers started falling off. I know that’s normal for a plant, but i’m just wondering when the flowers will come back? Because right now it just looks like a stem with a brown thing on the end where the flowers used to be. I know it’s still alive because the leaves at the bottom are still growing, and i have continued to take care of it.
I mist my orchids daily with water and water it every couple of days. Don’t overdo it though.
You will get another flower stalk if you keep it in a sunny place and keep it well hydrated.
Great monthly checklist on the American Orchid site.
